Consob: no pressure on Generali against the former CEO Perissinotto

"There has been no very strong pressure from Consob on the current managing director" of Generali, Mario Greco, to push the board of directors of the Trieste-based company to bring liability action against the former CEO, Giovanni Perissinotto, and against former general manager Raffaale Agrusti. It was Consob itself that officially specified it, denying the rumors that had spread in recent days in relation to some journalistic reports.

On 19 February, the Generali board of directors will once again examine the position of Perissinotto and Agrusti in relation to financial transactions conducted under their management and will decide to close the case, as it had done previously, or to start the liability action to be submitted to the meeting at the end of April.

When asked by Adn Kronos, the former CEO Giovanni Perissinotto said that "he will speak after February 19" but in yesterday's "Corriere della Sera" he anticipated that he had nothing to defend himself against but that he was proud to have created a lot of value for le Generali in the years in which it was number one.
