Consob and the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office have signed a protocol to "make their relations more streamlined and operational". This was announced by the chief prosecutor of Milan, Edmondo Bruti Liberati. The protocol was signed with Giuseppe Vegas, president of Consob, and Francesco Greco, head of the economic pool.
The collaboration between the Commission and the magistrates "is a practice that has already been established for a long time which is now crystallized in a document", said Vegas, explaining that "it can also be replicated in other prosecutors' offices, I am thinking of that of Rome".
The protocol "arises from the need to harmonize" the investigations by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the activity of Consob, added Greco, specifying that the text was signed with the intention of "speeding up the times" for the exchange of information between the two authorities and the need to "take note of the great work of Consob and the prosecutor in some major trials that have made history and make it a practice".
