The giant's Italian shopping continues Blackrock. After purchasing more than 5% of the capital of Unicredit, Intesa Sanpaolo and Mps, the US fund announced that it has also come to control 6,851% of Banco Popolare.
The news was released today by Consob, to which Blackrock specified that the "indirect shareholding" was reached "on 31 March 2014". The stake is held through "17 asset management companies" which are in turn controlled by the US fund.
Half an hour after the opening, the Banco Popolare share dropped 0,77%, a 15,48 euro.
