Consip, poisons against the Democratic Party. M5S also candidates for suspects

Shocking revelations of the Prosecutor of Modena, Lucia Musti, who debunks the "crazy" investigations carried out on the Consip case by a deviant department of the carabinieri to try to frame the secretary of the Democratic Party Matteo Renzi who states: "Those who wanted to use Consip to throw mud on me they will see the mud backfire" - Meanwhile, the M5S, to pave the way for Di Maio, will also nominate the suspects in the primaries

Consip, poisons against the Democratic Party. M5S also candidates for suspects

The revelations that the Prosecutor of Modena, Lucia Musti, made to the CSM on the way in which a deviated department of the Carabinieri del Noe conducted the investigations and wiretaps on the Consip case with the goal of hitting the former prime minister and secretary of the Democratic Party, Matteo Renzi.

"Those two are really crazy and their interceptions were done with their feet" Musti told the CSM in reference to the investigations conducted on the Consip case by Colonel del Noe, Sergio De Caprio (the famous Ultimo captain who twenty years ago arrested Totò Riina) and by Captain Giampaolo Scafarto" who worked for the Public Prosecutor of Naples Henry John Woodcock (who is now also under investigation for "forgery" by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office) and of which he reported, in violation of the secrecy of the investigation, the "Fact daily". “Those two Noe officers came to me possessed, saying: “Doctor, we have a bomb in hand: we can get to Renzi”.

Faced with these disturbing findings, the secretary of the Democratic Party Renzi commented: “Those who wanted to use Consip to throw mud at me will see the mud turn against me. Time is a gentleman and it will be the same for the Consip affair: the truth will come out and will strike those who have betrayed the sense of the state". The Democratic Party has already presented an urgent parliamentary question to the interior and defense ministers asking them to verify "whether some Carabinieri have plotted against the country's democratic leaders".

Next week the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office will examine the papers sent by the CSM on the testimony of the Modenese prosecutor.

“The testimony of the Prosecutor of Modena Lucia Musti to the CSM documents a method – writes today the Republic – which can objectively be summarized as follows. Starting from 2015, the same investigative department of the Arma (the Noe), in the persons of the same officers (Colonel Sergio De Caprio and Captain Giampaolo Scafarto), the same Neapolitan public prosecutor (John Henry Woodcock), the same newspaper (the Done) instruct and convey the partial investigative outcomes (in some cases manipulated at the origin) of investigations that have as a big target the Prime Minister in office (Matteo Renzi) and his closest family and political circle. Material whose explosion is consumed individually on the occasion of crucial political passages in the life of the country", as happened - the Republic always underlines this - on the eve of the constitutional referendum of 4 December last. But for what merits – controversially asked the former Minister of Justice, Piero Fassino of the Democratic Party – was Scafarto recently promoted to Major?

But the Consip-Pd case is not the only one to inflame the eve of the elections. It will be interesting to understand what the secretary of the League, Matteo Salvini, who will speak tomorrow at the Pontida Party, will do in concrete terms, in the face of the decision of the judiciary to confiscate 48 million and block the party accounts for the stables of the old Bossi management.

But another case destined to raise controversy is that of the Five Stars which, to pave the way for the leadership of Luigi Di Maio (twice under investigation for alleged defamation), approved a regulation drawn up by Beppe Grillo which provides that for the next primaries suspects from the judiciary can also apply, as long as - your goodness - they attach the documentation to explain the reasons why they are under investigation. But what will the Five Stars, who have always been executioners against their opponents, do if by chance their investigated candidates were to be convicted?
