Consip launches a new tender for the supply of electricity to Public Administrations

CONSIP has initiated a new race is preferably used for electricity supply intended for Italian Public Administrations (PA), with a total volume that exceeds 18 terawatt hours (TWh), also including any contractual increases.

Convention “Electrical Energy ed. 22”

La Convention, called “Electrical Energy ed. 22”, is structured into 16 geographical lots, as well as a special lot called “Italia”. The latter is reserved for administrations with numerous withdrawal points distributed across the national territory and characterized by high energy consumption. Thanks to this lot, it will be possible to manage the energy supply through a single contract, simplifying the process with a single dedicated interlocutor.

Total value of approximately 2,6 billion euros

Il total value of the auction, which represents the supply base, is estimated at approximately 2,6 billion euros. The Convention will have a duration of 12 months and will offer PAs the possibility to choose between two types of supply: at a variable price with a duration of 12 or 24 months. The fees will be updated monthly, following the changes in prices recorded on the Italian electricity exchange.

A further option offered to administrations is theGreen option, which will allow us to certify that the energy supplied comes exclusively from renewable sources, thanks to the Guarantee of Origin (GO).

The largest electricity trading in Italy reserved for PAs

This initiative represents the more large electricity trading never reserved for Public Administrations in Italy, with completely digitalized purchasing procedures. The participating administrations will be able to count on contracts with predetermined and transparent prices and conditions, guaranteed by inspections aimed at verifying the conformity of contractual services.

Il deadline for submission of offers is scheduled for 16:00 pm on September 19th.
