Consip has awarded the "Data management" tender: that's who

Consip has awarded the "Data Management" tender: the initiative worth 213 million and divided into six lots, which intends to provide technological and methodological support to Pa in the process of digitization, will be activated within the month of March. The framework agreement is part of the strategic ICT tenders in implementation of the three-year IT plan in the PA.

In detail, the tender has as its object the awarding of a "mixed" framework agreement, in part on condition all fixed for a duration of 18 months to which the administrations will be able to access in "to order”, to stipulate, quickly and easily, executive contracts with the awarded suppliers, and in part to “competitive revival”, to respond to particular needs of new developments and specific initiatives of a design nature.

The application services focus on four thematic areas:

• "Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence” – data analysis tools and solutions 

• "Big Data/Analytics” – activities, methodologies and tools for the analysis of large amounts of data 

• "Open Data” – open-type data and document production with related metadata

• "Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning” – cognitive technologies, predictive analytics and intelligent applications

The application services are complemented by those of Program management, to support administrations in the coordination and monitoring of activated projects.

With this initiative, as with the previous tenders already published, the aim was to encourage the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises, also through small-sized lots and participation requirements suitable for the specific market: a total of 45 offers were presented by of 17 different competitors (for a total of 76 economic operators).
