Consip 2021 budget: profit at 3,2 million, PA purchases growing to 18,6 billion

Consip's 2021 is on file, which closed with a production value of around 78,9 million euros, EBITDA at 11,3 million euros (+21% vs 2020) and a profit that went from 800 euro to over 3 million in 5 years (+309%). This was communicated by the same public company for the purchases of the Pa, whose Board of Directors has approved the 2021 draft budget.

According to the 2021 budget data approved by Consip, economic management is clearly improving. In the period 2017-2021 there were over 26 million profits, stable operating, support and running costs of 10,2 million euros and a double-digit increase in cash and cash equivalents reaching 39,8 million euros (+41% compared to 2020).

Furthermore, during 2021, Consip generated an increase in the value of production of 78,9 million euros (+2% vs 2020). As regards the Purchasing Program Area, on the other hand, in 2021 the set of e-procurement tools made available by Consip made it possible to 'oversee' a total PA expenditure of 18,6 billion euros (+127% compared to 2016 and +12% compared to 2020), causing for the administrations aoverall savings opportunity on prices of 3,2 billion euros.

They have been over the course of the year banned races for a total value of 10,6 billion euros (+111% vs 2016 and +56% vs 2020), equal to 93 initiatives published for the corresponding 243 lots. The awarded value is approximately 10,6 billion euros (+95% vs 2016 and in line with the 2020 value) equal to 106 initiatives for the corresponding 329 lots.

With regard to development lines, a press release from the company reports:

• theimplementation of the PNRR through making "contracts" available to the PAs for the purchase of goods and services functional to the implementation of PA projects;

• theextension of the offer in the public works sector, including new works, through the electronic market of the PA.
