Consip: the evolution of the public procurement system is underway

The platform evolves public procurement system of Consip. With the pre-qualification of the economic operators to the new telematic markets, Electronic Market of the Public Administration (Mepa) and Dynamic Purchasing System (Sdapa) - the evolution process of the Mef-Consip e-procurement platform has started. This is the first stage of a process that will lead to the operational launch of the new system by next summer.

The new platform aims to simplify the management of purchasing procedures for the Public Administration and businesses, and to ensure greater effectiveness in procurement processes: simplification of purchasing and negotiation processes; clarity and usability through a new graphical interface and enhancement of the search engine; customization of functions and contents based on the type of user; data security and system stability; integration and interoperability with external information systems.

In this first phase, all economic operators can start the pre-qualification for the new telematic markets with a single one wizard. Once enabled, upload their product catalogues. To accompany them, a support tool, as well as various other tools - video tutorials, navigable prototype, operating guide and map of correspondence between current and new qualification categories - all collected in a site dedicated to the Portal evolution project.

Furthermore, in the new procedure, the qualification categories they will be more numerous and qualified to allow companies a better visibility of the offer and purchasing administrations a more targeted selection.

Until the new operating system opens, all PA purchases will continue to take place on the current platform, but economic operators who have already pre-enabled will be able to operate on the Mepa and Sdapa continuously from the day of launch of the new platform.

Finally, we read in a note that the "Acquisti in rete" Portal continues the path of change with the evolution of the architecture, functions, processes linked to negotiations and orders from the PA, participation in tenders and authorization of companies, catalog of offers.
