Confindustria-unions, agreement on contracts signed

Emma Marcegaglia and the leaders of CGIL, CISL and UIL sign the agreement reached on 28 June – In fact, the provision contained in the last maneuver and relating to layoffs, the notorious paragraph 2 of article 8, has been set aside.

Confindustria-unions, agreement on contracts signed

The inter-confederation agreement between industrialists and trade unions on contracts was signed this morning in the Rome headquarters of Confindustria. Green light therefore to the agreement reached on 28 June last. Thus the much-contested provision contained in the latest economic maneuver launched by the Government is neutralized, which in paragraph 2 of article 8 provides for the possibility of signing contracts in derogation from the rules relating to dismissals without just cause.

The signature was affixed by Emma Marcegaglia and by the leaders of CGIL, CISL and UIL. Susanna Camusso confirmed that the agreement reached today "provides for a formal commitment to implement the agreement". Luigi Angeletti also expressed satisfaction: "The signature dispels all worries and distortions".

As for Raffaele Bonanni, the leader of the Cisl focused on the measures necessary to relaunch growth, hoping for a tax reform and a reduction in taxes for employees. Marcegaglia limited itself to confirming that the commitments of 28 June had been ratified.
