Confindustria: Riello withdraws from the race for the succession, clash between Bombassei and Squinzi

It was already in the air in the last few days, but only now it's official: Andrea Riello has in fact pulled himself out of the race to succeed Emma Marcegaglia at the national presidency of Confindustria. The "side step", as he defined it the former president of Confindustria Veneto, then asserting that "two candidates are enough and they advance", took place within what was supposed to be a face-to-face meeting with another of the candidates, Alberto Bombassei, in Mogliano Veneto, in the province of Treviso, a debate that ended up transform, after the abandonment of the contest of Riello, in a "meeting to one".

Riello, in announcing his definitive unavailability to go ahead in the race for the presidency of viale dell'Astronomia, thanked his territory and the presidents who supported him, then hoping that the competition between the two surviving candidates, Squinzi and Bombassei, takes place in the most absolute correctness, while maintaining the normal dialectic of the successions. He also asked for that the "new" Confindustria pays greater attention to the Triveneto and the province.

Then when asked about a possible race for the vice presidency of Confindustria, Riello declared that he was available and that, given his still young age, he hoped to be able to lead the industrial organization in the future.
