Confindustria: "The stability law increases the tax levy on companies"

The Stability Law "directly or indirectly tightens the tax levy on companies". This was stated by Marcella Panucci, director general of Confindustria, during a hearing in Parliament on the bill presented by the Government.

Panucci focused above all on the "reduction of the deductibility coefficient of company cars, on the postponement of the fiscal effects of the realignment of the equity investments for banks and industrial holdings and on the stabilization of the increases in excise duty on fuels introduced temporarily to finance relief interventions and reconstruction following the earthquake that struck Emilia”.

Despite the Stability law providing for resources to be allocated to favor an increase in productivity, therefore, the Confindustria CEO says he is concerned about the "reduction of the financial allocation for the disbursement of tax refunds, which could slow them down, thus accentuating the financial problems of companies”, especially in a context of reduction of credit lines by banking institutions.
