The tax burden estimated by the Government in 2014 at 44,23% is at "record levels". This is supported by the head of the Confcommercio Study Center, Mariano Bella.
“Since 2012 – he explains – we have entered a new scenario with the persistence of the constant tax burden at record levels. For three consecutive years the tax burden will be at levels never reached before. The country cannot go on like this."
The government's estimate of the 2014 tax burden, underlined Bella, "is compatible with a 1% growth in GDP".
