Confagricoltura-Banco Bpm, agreement to support agricultural enterprises

Confagricoltura and Banco Bpm have signed an agreement intended to launch a series of activities together aimed at facilitating access by agricultural enterprises associated with consultancy services, sector initiatives and products offered by the bank, especially financing services. The document was, from Massimo Pasquali, responsible for coordinating companies of Banco Bpm, and by the general manager of Confagricoltura, Francesco Postorino.

In detail, the collaboration will develop in the areas identified as priorities for the support of agricultural enterprises in this period of economic difficulty worsened in recent months by price increases and the worsening of the pandemic wave. Among these: access to credit, the implementation of projects for innovation and the enhancement of business chains or networks; the establishment of a joint table for the analysis of the main megatrends of the sector, for the monitoring of the subjects of the agreement and for the identification of any matters of interest for the sector.

Among the additional qualifying profiles, Confagricoltura and the banking institution have included the willingness to organize meetings with their experts in order to perfect the knowledge and credit skills of the member companies, in order to confer the necessary economic solidity.

Finally, the agreement provides for the launch of a specific national work table for the joint analysis of agri-food supply chains and for the identification of the best ways of supporting their growth and development, also through the involvement of other subjects.
