The date has finally arrived. Written proof of school competition will start from 22 October and will continue until mid-November. By tomorrow, 29 September, the public notice should be published in the Official Gazette.
The extraordinary selection will concern 32 places reserved for precarious middle and high school teachers who have at least three years of service behind them. Subsequently it will be the turn of ordinary teachers for childhood and primary and for I/II degree secondary schools. There will be another 46 professorships up for grabs.
The winners will take the chair next year, but will be able to count on contracts with legal effect of the employment relationship from 1 September 2020.
SCHOOL COMPETITION: THE ANTI-COVID RULES
The competition will be held in compliance with the anti-Covid rules currently in force. Therefore, there is an obligation to respect the distance and to wear the masks. Participants will have their temperature measured at the entrance with thermoscanners. Anyone with respiratory symptoms or fever above 37,5 will not be able to access the test. Also excluded are teachers in quarantine, for whom a supplementary test is not foreseen.
SCHOOL COMPETITION: THE WRITTEN TEST
As mentioned, it will start on 22 October and proceed gradually according to the different classes of competition, until mid-November.
The written test will be divided by competition class and type of place. It will take place on the computer and will be an open-ended quiz consisting of five questions that will serve to ascertain the disciplinary and teaching skills of the participants. The minimum score is seven tenths or equivalent. Based on the results, the regional merit rankings will be formed. The expected duration is 150 minutes.
SCHOOL COMPETITION: PLACES REGION BY REGION
The greatest need is in Lombardy, where there will be 6.929 chairs available. Many places to fill throughout the North: 3.142 in Piedmont, 3.111 in Veneto, 2.803 in Emilia Romagna. Lazio follows with 2.695 chairs, Tuscany with 2.572 and Campania.
SCHOOL COMPETITION: THE MATERIALS
The competition will cover a total of 3.798 places to teach Italian, history and geography in middle school; 3.145 for Mathematics and Sciences (competition class A028). Over 1700 chairs to teach Italian in high schools and just over a thousand in sports sciences in high schools and in mathematics.
THE ORDINARY COMPETITION
We will have to wait for more details on the ordinary contest of primary and secondary, which will be open to all, concrete recent graduates. The date should be set by the end of 2020.
The pre-selection test will take place only after completing the first phase of the extraordinary competition and according to rumors it will be a multiple choice test.
