The first edition of JAZZDO.IT was presented in the Intesa Sanpaolo branch in Piazza Cordusio.
During the meeting, the program of free JAZZMI concerts was also presented, along with the calendar of appointments throughout the
cities, held in unusual places such as museums, libraries and the Intesa Sanpaolo branch in Piazza Cordusio, which will host two free concerts on 4 and 11 November.
Vittorio Meloni, Intesa Sanpaolo External Relations Director, commented: “In its second year, JAZZMI is a growing initiative
which combines entertainment and culture, which is why Intesa Sanpaolo has decided to support it and host it in our piazza branch
Cordusio two Jazz concerts, with free admission. A concert in a branch is an unusual event, but it falls within the logic of sharing, of 'sharing', aimed at opening our spaces to city life. Not only that, the JAZZDO.IT program presented today aims to strengthen the 'productive' chain of jazz, favoring creative and youthful professions. It is therefore in perfect harmony with the Bank's attention to young people and to an economy that favors their personal and professional growth”.
JAZZMI, of which Intesa Sanpaolo is the main sponsor, was awarded the first prize for best musical event on the occasion of the 14th
edition of the BEA – Best Event Awards, the first event in Italy dedicated to the Event Industry, with this motivation: “the t
transformation of the city and the enhancement of its spaces has led Jazz to express itself in consolidated realities and to invade completely new places to create a dynamic city reality, in constant movement and in search of surprising innovations”.
