The purchase was signed after the binding agreement last February.

This morning in Bologna, Herambiente Servizi Industriali Srl (a subsidiary of Herambiente SpA) completed the purchase of 100% of the share capital of Ambiente Energia Srl, a company active in the treatment of liquid industrial waste through its Schio (VI) plant, from Manifattura Lane Gaetano Marzotto & Figli SpA. The closing concludes the process begun on February 27 with the signing of a binding agreement between the two companies.

Operation in line with the 2028 Industrial Plan

The Hera Group, therefore, continues to grow in the Northeast, particularly in waste treatment and recovery, fully in line with its 2028 Business Plan, which sees vertical integration as an important lever for further expanding and diversifying its plant base, with positive impacts on profitability and market share.

Specifically, Ambiente Energia will extend Herambiente Servizi Industriali Srl's global waste management offering to one of the most productive and dynamic areas of the country, where the Hera Group is already established with its subsidiaries Vallortigara Servizi Ambientali SpA in Torrebelvicino (VI) and Marano Vicentino (VI), Aliplast SpA in Ospedaletto d'Istrana (TV), and Recycla SpA in Resana (TV) and Maniago (PN).

Multipurpose plant with a capacity of over 120.000 tons per year

The Ambiente Energia Srl plant, with an annual capacity of over 120.000 tons, uses cutting-edge technology to treat numerous types of liquid and sludgy waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, such as paint and washing water, acids and bases, and water from chemical-physical treatments. This service is therefore fully geared towards the Veneto industrial districts, including textiles, tanning, metalworking, and eyewear. The purification plant, which returns the water to surface water after treatment, has 41 storage tanks, a wastewater treatment line (both chemical-physical and biological), and a sludge treatment line.

The industrial added value of the agreement

This capacity will allow for greater flexibility and capacity in developing waste management and recovery projects offered by Herambiente Servizi Industriali Srl to local companies. Existing Ambiente Energia customers will benefit from the expertise of Herambiente SpA and its subsidiaries to develop resource valorization and circular economy projects, particularly in the treatment of liquid and sludge waste.

Full employment continuity for Ambiente Energia Srl's resources

As confirmed when the binding agreement was signed, the transaction will see all current Ambiente Energia Srl employees retained, ensuring full employment continuity and protecting the company's technical and operational assets for the benefit of its customers.

Ramonda: "Positive impact on cross-selling and synergies with nearby Vallortigara"

"We are very pleased with this further growth," explains Andrea Ramonda, CEO of Herambiente SpA. "This acquisition not only consolidates Herambiente's already extensive plant base, but also further expands our customer base for environmental services, with positive impacts on cross-selling opportunities, which will also benefit from synergies with the nearby Vallortigara Servizi Ambientali, already part of the Hera Group."
