On the occasion of June 2nd, Republic Day, 26 Italian railway stations were illuminated with colors of the Italian flag. It is an initiative organized by the FS Group to celebrate the anniversary of the 1946 referendum.
The facades of some of the country's main stations - including Rome Termini, Turin Porta Susa, Naples Afragola, Reggio Calabria Centrale, Olbia - were illuminated with green, white and red lights on the evening of Sunday 1 June and will be illuminated again today, Monday 2 June.
A gesture that wants to unite citizens through a common and everyday space: the stations. Places of transit, but also of meeting, which in recent years have become part of a broader strategy of the FS Group.
