The resignations were announced, now they are official: the president of the Compagnia di San Paolo, Sergio Chiamparino, formalized his intention to resign at the board meeting with a letter to the members of the general council and the management committee of the Compagnia di San Paolo February 3 general.
"With this letter of mine - writes Chiamparino - I announce the decision to submit, at the end of the ordinary session of the general council already convened for 3 February, my irrevocable resignation as president of the Compagnia di San Paolo, in order to avoid involving the Compagnia itself in political events with respect to which it is and must remain totally extraneous and independent".
