Chiara Appendino, in her first press conference as mayor of Turin, asked for the resignation of Francesco Profumo from the presidency of the Compagnia di San Paolo. "Those who have made choices that I didn't agree with, such as the salary increase, should draw the consequences," she said in reference to the 400 euros of additional funds allocated last week by the Company for top management.
Appendino then added that Paolo Peveraro, president of Iren, is also at risk: "I did not agree with those appointments - continued the newly elected mayor -, we will introduce a 'blank semester' in the nomination regulation, so that the outgoing mayor cannot make appointments ”.
On the Tav, however, Appendino explained that "the mayor cannot block it". Therefore, "I will sit at the table - he concluded -, I will evaluate their reasons, I will bring the reasons for no and based on that I will evaluate, even leaving the table".
