Banking commission: Ruocco president (M5S)

The new bicameral commission of inquiry into banks it has a president. This is the pentastellata Carla Ruocco, until today number one of the Finance Commission of the Chamber, a role in which he will probably be replaced by the leader of the Pd group, Gian Mario Fragomeli.

Ruocco obtained the position with 22 votes in favor in the Commission. The Senator was appointed as Vice-Presidents Luciano D'Alfonso (Pd) and the deputy Happy D'Ettore (Go Italy). The two secretaries are instead the deputies Bruno Tabacci (+Europe) e Thomas Foti (FdI).

By the way, she was also the only woman inside the first and only directorate of the Movimento 5 Stelle (with her Fico, Di Maio, Di Battista and Sibilia), an experience wrecked at the end of 2016 after the frictions caused by the troubles of the Raggi junta.

“This commission is one of the goals desired and achieved by the M5S – said Ruocco after his election as President – our goal is to work for Italian savers. If our country is solid from a financial point of view, it is because citizens save: therefore savings must be absolutely protected in line with constitutional dictates. This is the main objective that this commission must be given. As soon as the Bureau meets, we will start with a demanding time schedule”.
