In Germany too the crisis is producing unemployed people. Commerzbank will cut from 4 to 6 full-time jobs within 2016. This was announced by the German bank itself, the country's second, specifying that the operation is part of the savings plan decided in November. It is not yet clear which sectors and geographic areas will be affected by the cuts.
The exact figure will be decided in negotiations with employees, which will start in February. At the end of 2011, the group had 58 employees, of which 44.500 in Germany.
With the reduction of staff, the Bank aims to reduce costs and revitalize the currently struggling retail business.
