The sales start today but the forecasts on possible purchases are not positive. The national Observatory Federconsumatori, on the basis of the analysis carried out on a sample located throughout the national territory, estimates that the number of families inclined to buy with sales will be equal to just 36%-37% (approximately 8,9 million of families).
A trend dictated by the sharp drop in purchasing power recorded in recent years, reads a note from Federconsumatori-Adusbef, as well as by the heavy increases that are expected for 2014 (+1.384 euros per family).
Those who buy on balance declare that they will drastically reduce their budget: the average expenditure will be 194 euros per family, 11,3% less than last year (in which a contraction of 18,8% had already been recorded). . The total turnover will therefore be just 1,73 billion euros.
