The discussion on the liberalization of the oil market begins

In the Senate, in the Industry Committee, the discussion on the oil market and the price of fuel starts today. Bills will be examined which tend to favor greater liberalization and therefore to lower price lists at the pump.
The commission has already carried out a survey which has highlighted 3 issues: the need to aim at the liberalization of the opening hours of the vending machines, increase the so-called "hyperself" services compared to the "served" ones, allow for greater simplification for the sale of non-oil products.
Now the examination of the bills begins, which will be unified into a basic text for discussion. In the field the hypothesis of giving a new structure to the oil market, the establishment of a central storage body with wholesale monitoring tasks, the overcoming of the exclusivity of the supply relationship, ensuring more competitive conditions for the managers of small and medium size. But before reaching a conclusion, a calendar of hearings will be set up: the oil companies, businesses, distributors' associations, users and consumers will be heard.
