Comcast Corporation Says Goodbye to $45 Billion Wedding with Time Warner Cable. The group announced that the deal signed with the smaller telecommunications operator has been cancelled. “Today we look forward. Of course, we would have loved to take our products to new cities, but we structured the agreement so that if the government didn't agree, we could leave,” said Brian L. Roberts, president and chief executive officer of Comcast, which said it was "excited about what the future holds."
