The English auction house Bonhams|Cars also present in Italy with its offices in Milan and Rome presents in London for 13 April 2025 a diverse selection of vehicles, from pre-war Tourers to modern supercars. The auction features vehicles of impressive provenance, including cars once owned by iconic figures from Hollywood, music and sport.
Among the highlights of the auction There are several notable Bentleys, including a 3 Bentley 8/1927-Litre Competition Special “The Other Gun”, estimated at £500.000 to £700.000, a 4 Bentley 1928½-Litre Vanden Plas Style Tourer, estimated at £280.000 to 350.000, and a 8 Bentley 1932-Litre “Le Mans” Tourer, estimated at £500.000 to 600.000. The latter is the definitive, restored WO Bentley with Le Mans coachwork. It is believed to be one of only 78 surviving 8-Litres. The car continued to tour South Africa and Europe at various rallies and events, including the International Vintage Bentley Tour and the Sinaia Concours d'Elegance in Romania. Other significant pre-war lots include a 1912 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Roi des Belges 40/50bhp Style Tourer, estimated at £200.000 to £300.000, which has undergone a £600.000 restoration, and a 2 Ballot 1922LS Three-seater Skiff Tourer, estimated at £300.000 to £350.000. At the time of its introduction in 1922, the Ballot 2LS was the fastest, most glamorous and most expensive sports car in the world, and the first to go into production with a DOHC engine. Fewer than 50 were built and only five survive.
The iconic “Lamborghinis”
Lamborghini will also be present: a 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto Coupe estimated at £330.000 to £400.000 and a 6.0 Lamborghini Diablo 2002 VT Coupe estimated at £250.000 to £280.000. This Diablo is known as the “last of the series” and includes several factory options and upgrades.
And finally… a 3.0 Ford Capri 1 GXL Group 1973 Competition Coupé, driven by Niki Lauda in a one-off race at the Österreichring. Estimate: £80.000-120.000. Eric Clapton’s 365 Ferrari 4 GT1975 Berlinetta Boxer. Estimate: £175.000-275.000. And Jack Nicholson’s 600 Mercedes-Benz 1972 Saloon. Estimate: £70.000-90.000.
