Coca Cola, 4 billion in China

Coca-Cola has confirmed a new investment of four billion on Chinese soil. David Brooks, president of the Greater China and Korea business unit said last Wednesday, during an interview with Bloomberg, that the beverage giant intended to invest this important sum between 2015 and 2017 in order to open new production units and add new products in the list.

The news has now been officially confirmed. The Atlanta group has already approved an initial investment, again for 4 billion dollars, to be spent between 2012 and 2014. Coca-Cola is developing in the main emerging markets. At the top of the list, apart from the People's Republic, is Russia.

The goal is to reach 200 billion in turnover by 2020, thanks to the acquisition of new markets represented by the growing bourgeoisie in many developing countries. The group's stock is up 10% on the stock market since the beginning of the year.
