Cnh Industrial announced that will temporarily close several of its production sites of agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles and propulsion systems in Europe. The decision was made "due to supply chain disruptions and shortages of key components, especially semiconductors."
The news was released Wednesday evening in a note, which stresses that the company "constantly reviews its production plans to respond to this highly volatile environment and plans to close the affected plants for no more than eight working days in the month of October".
Furthermore, CNH Industrial "remains constantly committed to optimizing production operations - continues the note - in order to respond to the continued strong demand and better serve its dealers and customers".
The ad has depressed stock market by Cnh Industrial, which dropped 0,8% in mid-morning, to 13,955 euros. This is the worst performance on the Ftse Mib, which in the same minutes travels positive by 0,9%.
