The Chinese Fosun, in consortium with its Portuguese subsidiary Fidelidade (insurance), the French investment fund Ardian and the travel agency U-tour, officially presented a new offer to purchase Club Med at 22 euros for each share and at 23,3 euros for each convertible bond of the French group for a total of 839 million euros. This was communicated by Fosun, majority partner of the new offer, which exceeds that of the financier Andrea Bonomi, equal to 790 million.
The new offer “will make Club Med the world leader in premium all-inclusive holidays thanks to the support of a long-term business plan that will create value for all the stakeholders involved. Thanks to the development of a global strategy in tourism that has been going on for 4 years, we are the right partner for Club Med to take advantage of growth in rapidly developing countries".
