Club Med, the CDC resists pressure from Giscard

The question linked to the offers on the table for Club Med intensifies. The French Caisse des Depots, the equivalent of our Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, brought up in recent days by the president and CEO of Club Mediterranee Henry Giscard d'Estaing, who had asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs to make an effort to get the CDC to support the Ardian-Fosun offer, she withdrew, denying that she was studying participation in either of the two offers on the table on Club Med shares.

The question is well known: on the one hand there is the offer of 17,50 euros per share by the French fund Ardian in consortium with the Chinese Fosun International. On the other hand there is the offer of 21 euros from Investindustrial by Andrea Bonomi. Giscard d'Estaing, despite the lower offer, supports the Fosun-Ardian consortium, appealing to the French nature of the offer, but, more than anything else, to keep his seat safe.
