Club Med: Bonomi first shareholder with 18,9%

Global Resorts yesterday bought 1.064.688 Club Med shares at the price of 23 euros per share – 17% of the voting rights to the Italian entrepreneur

Andrea Bonomi became the new first shareholder of the Mediterranean Club. The Global Resorts led by the Italian entrepreneur has in fact increased its stake in the capital of the French company, reaching 18,9%

As announced in the note dated November 11th following the relaunch of the takeover bid, Global Resorts yesterday purchased 1.064.688 Club Med shares at the price of 23 euros per share. The securities were sold by funds or entities managed by the brokerage firm Boussard & Gavaudan. 

With the new purchases, a note explains, “Global Resorts together with the partners with whom it acts in concert holds 6.785.369 shares of Club Mediterranee, equal to 18,9% of the share capital and 17% of the voting rights”.

In the wake of the news the stock on the stock exchange of Club Med, which opened today with a negative 0,8%, gained 4,67% in the last five sessions, to 23,5 euros.
