Club Med to the Chinese, Bonomi withdraws

In the match for Club Med Andrea Bonomi throws in the towel, but still collects a capital gain. His Global Resort will not relaunch to get his hands on the French company, which will therefore be bought by the Chinese of Fosun. On the contrary, Bonomi intends to sell the shares currently held in the capital of Club Med "in adhesion to the Gaillon Invest II offer, or on the market".

For the founder of Investindustrial, main shareholder of the Global Resorts consortium, "the current scenario and valuation levels do not justify further considerations on the opportunity to invest in Club Med".

On 19 December, Gaillon Invest II, the vehicle in which the Brazilian holding company Docas Investimentos also participates, relaunched at 24,6 euros per share, for a total valuation of Club Med at 929 million. In November, the consortium led by Bonomi had managed to raise the bid at 24 euros per share.
