Intesa leads the market capitalization ranking of Italian banks with 36,8 billion euros – In second place is Unicredit (29,8), followed by Ubi (5,09), the first of the Popolari – Leap forward of asset management banks: from Mediolanum to Finebank and Banca Generali – Mps is tenth

STOCK EXCHANGE RANKING – The top 10 Italian banks: Intesa in the lead, Unicredit second

With a market value of 36 billion and 851 million euros, Intesa Sanpaolo leads the ranking of the top ten Italian banks by capitalisation. In second place is the eternal rival of Unicredit, which is worth 29 billion and 844 million on the stock exchange. This is what can be deduced from the data updated to yesterday evening by the Italian Stock Exchange.

In addition to the undisputed leadership of the two big credit companies, three elements stand out in the Stock Exchange ranking of the top ten Italian banks: the leap forward of managed savings banks (from Mediolanum to Finecobank and Banca Generali), the large presence of cooperative banks (from Ubi to Banco Popolare and from Bper to Bpm) and the retreat of Monte dei Paschi due to the tribulations linked to the capital increases and the ECB's report cards: Siena on the Stock Exchange is in tenth place despite being the third for total assets bank in the country with a network of over 2 branches and customer loans for 132 billion.

But let's take a closer look at the general ranking of the banks on the Stock Exchange.

After Understanding e Unicredit in third place it ranks Ubi, the first of the popular banks, which is worth 5 billion and 95 million on the Stock Exchange. Behind the Lombard bank there is Mediolaum, which is fourth with a capitalization of 3 billion and 858 million.

In fifth place the second of the Popular and that is Popular Bank with 3 billion and 505 million.

In sixth and seventh place are two of the most active asset management banks: the freshman Finecobank with 2 billion and 807 million e General Bank, the jewel of the Lion of Trieste, with a stock market value of 2 billion and 649 million.

In eighth and ninth place we still find two Popolari: la Bper, a very speculative and very volatile title, which is worth 2 billion and 521 million and the Banca Popolare di Milano which capitalizes 2 billion and 445 million.

Ps it is tenth with a market value of 2 billion and 424 million.
