“We have once again expressed our full availability for a grand coalition between the three main forces, as long as it doesn't become a big contradiction to hide the problems that everyone has at home. Citizens' problems must be tackled with the necessary reforms”. This was stated by Andrea Olivero, coordinator of Civic Choice, at the end of this afternoon's consultations with the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, for the formation of the new government.
“We proposed to the Head of State to start explorations to go and verify the programmatic compatibilities and therefore the concrete possibility of a convergence – continued Olivero -. We need governance, but above all we need good governance, which faces the great challenges of the country. We are not interested in the political-organisational aspects, ie ways and formulas with which to achieve this, but we are interested in the programs and in verifying if there is the possibility of meeting or if instead we intend to continue supporting partisan interests”.
The Head of State met with center-right representatives this morning and with the grillini of the 5 Star Movement this afternoon. The day will end with the climb to Colle del Pd.
