Cisalfa Groupand expands abroad for the first time. The main Italian retailer of sports clothing and accessories with around 160 stores has started an internationalization process for the first time, acquiring historic German retailers Sports Voswinkel e SportCheck. The operation was supported by UniCredit, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti e Sace.
Financing of 115 million euros
UniCredit and CDP granted Cisalfa a total financing of 115 million euros: 65 million from UniCredit and 50 million from the Cassa. Sace provided a financial guarantee for the part of the loan intended for internationalization in Germany.
The project includes not only the purchase of the German companies and their 75 outlets, but also the strengthening of the commercial network. In Italy, the plan involves the opening of over 10 new stores of the Intersport Superstore chain between 2024 and 2027.
