Instead of Minos or Charon, it is the "Circe" who harasses Italy this week. Ilmeteo.it reveals that there will be presence of strong winds, Bora at 90 kilometers per hour, thunderstorms, hail and tornadoes until Wednesday. On Thursday, however, the African heat will arrive again which will force Italians to visit the beaches or return to the mountains. It is a Mediterranean cyclone that formed on the Tyrrhenian Sea and involves the whole country.

"Finnish fresh air is descending suddenly in the Mediterranean and is triggering real storms in central-southern Sardinia and Sicily" underlines Antonio Sanò, director of the web portal www.iL Meteo.it, who he also highlighted that such a notable change in the weather in the Italian summer hadn't happened for more than 10 years. In Lazio the rains have lowered the temperature by 10 degrees and continuous storms occur in the Marche and Abruzzo. A stormy afternoon is expected in Sicily and the bora blows at 90km/h, the tramontana in Liguria at 80km.

In detail, between today and Tuesday rains and thunderstorms are expected in the Centro-South, the major islands and then Romagna and the temperature will drop considerably: 20 degrees in Perugia and Ancona, 25 in Rome. On Tuesday the cyclone will rise again in the Northeast and in Lombardy, where rain and thunderstorms will occur until the evening. While in the Marche, Abruzzo and Molise violent thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and finally Lazio pursued by an autumn climate with rain even in the evening in Rome. The last thunderstorms will be in the centre-south, Sicily and north-east, because, according to the forecasts of IlMeteo.it, already from Thursday and on the weekend of July 28-29, the hot African air will make its usual visit.
