Cir returns to profit in the first quarter: +6,4 million euro

The result is anyway down compared to profits of 15,2 million recorded in the same period last year and is mainly linked to the reduction in the result of the publishing group L'Espresso and to a lesser extent than Sogefi (car components).

Il turnover in the first three months of 2013 it amounted to 1,26 billion, an increase of 1,3% compared to the same period of 2012, mainly thanks to the higher sales reported by Sorgenia (energy) e Kos (health). L'ebitda is equal to 107,2 million (+8,1%).

At the end of March, the group recorded an aggregate net financial surplus of 38,2 million, from 33,2 million at the end of 2012 and a net debt of 2.412,4 million, from 2.504,4 million.

In the capital of Cir the participation of Norges Bank, Norway's central bank, rose from 2,094% to 2,7%. On 19 March, the engineer Carlo De Benedetti completed the succession at the top of the holding company of his three sons: Rodolfo, Marco and Edoardo.

Sogefi he underlined that 2013 will be influenced by the trend of the Italian economy, “characterized by a recession whose intensity cannot be foreseen at the moment”.

At the end of the morning, the title of Cir gains more than one and a half points in Piazza Affari.
