Cinema: Cetto returns in a sovereign version

The lucky character played by the comedian Antonio Albanese is back on the big screen after several years of absence also on television. We left Cetto mayor of Marina di Sopra and now we find him emigrated to Germany where he became an entrepreneur, he is married to a German woman and is called by his dying aunt in Italy where his noble origins will be revealed to him.

And so here it is we find ourselves catapulted into the reality of "sovereignty" or presumed such, where in this case it is the monarch who is called to revive the country's fortunes. It should be noted that the film, directed by Giulio Manfredonia, arrives in theaters a few days after the happy utterances of Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia: "Good evening to all Italians, I have the duty to officially announce the return of the Royal Family" just to bring us to the daily news.

Su FIRST Art film critic Patrizio Rossano asks more than one question: “Albanese's film tells of an Italy more or less as we left it 10 years ago. Little has changed in the country's society, politics, culture and customs. The screenplay, the texts, add only a few more traits to what is already known, to what we already know about what horrible happens around us every day. It is not a comic film: there is really little to laugh about… Indeed, in some respects it seems dramatic. It's the same movie, the same story, with the same updated and corrected character that we've seen since he appeared on television and then on the cinema screen ”.
