Manufacturing production in China fell in December and reached a three-month low. The HSBC PMI index, in fact, fell to 50,5 in December from 50,8 in November. The indicator remained unchanged compared to the flash estimate released by HSBC on 16 December.
A figure above 50 indicates expansion in manufacturing activity, a figure below indicates contraction. New orders are on the rise while foreign sales record the first decline in four months.
