Economic data in chiaroscuro from China. Beijing has announced today that in October industrial production of the country recorded an increase of 5,6% on an annual basis, against the +5,7% recorded in September. The figure is slightly lower than market estimates (+5,8%).

According to the National Statistical Office, also, in the same month retail sales they grew by 11,0%, against 10,9% in September and against an unchanged reading expected by economists. The figure remains well below the average 12% recorded in the whole of 2014, but it is the best since December of last year.
