New signs of a slowdown in the Chinese economy. According to HSBC calculations, in February the PMI index relating to the services sector recorded a decline from 54 to 52,1 points on a monthly basis. However, the figure remains beyond the threshold of 50 points, which marks the boundary between expansion and contraction.
In any case, the forecasts of HSBC analysts are positive: a modest increase in growth in the services sector is expected in the coming months, thanks to the trend in the labor market and the recovery in manufacturing activity.
