For the first time in over two years China's exports recorded a decline of 0,5% in January, compared to the same period of the previous year. The data raises new concerns about the impact of the global crisis on the Chinese economy. According to Beijing authorities, imports also fell (-15,3%), fueling fears about the drop in domestic demand.
It's about the results worst trade data since 2009 and are related to the Chinese New Year (January 23), as well as to the crisis in Europe. Based on these numbers, ithe surplus Chinese trade in January showed a sharp increase, at 27,3 billion dollars (+64,5% compared to December).
