The 5G revolution takes off in China. The announcement was long overdue as China is the largest mobile phone market in the world with approx 1,6 billion subscribers. Precisely for this reason, China has accelerated the pace in the last period, being in flood techno-trade war with the United States.
The 3 Chinese telephone companies China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom have officially launched, Thursday 31 October the 5G network, 20 times faster than 4G. The ceremony took place in Beijing in the presence of the three telecommunications giants.
The launch was initially scheduled for next year. Beijing has relied on 5G to rise to the top of the next industrial revolution and for support Huawei, attacked by Washington as well as one of the most important manufacturers of 5G equipment in the world.

The deal concluded in September between China Telecom and China Unicom will accelerate the deployment of 5G in China. Chen Zhaoxiong, deputy minister of industry and information technology, said they are already operational 86.000 5G base stations, a figure that will have to rise to 130.000 before the end of the year.
