Bad news for smokers: the prices di Camel, Winston, Benson and other cigarette and cigar brands are still increasing. According to theCustoms agency and monopolies, the updates follow the increases already applied on some brands The 23 January.
The 2024 Budget Law introduced an increase in the fixed component of the excise duty on cigarettes, which will go from 28,20 euros to 29,50 euros per thousand cigarettes in 2025. This has already led to average increases of around 20 cents per pack on various brands. For example, for Marlboro e Ivy the price has reached 6,50 euros per packet.
From Saturday 8th February, the cost of Camel Blue e White rises to 6 euros, while the Winston Red, Silver e Blue stop at 5,50 euros. Even cigars are not exempt from the increases: the Balmoral Aged Torpedo Mk 52 they reach 204 euros for a pack of 20, while the Winterman's Crown they come to 8,50 euros for a pack of 5.
