Minister Corrado Passera will also be at the Ambrosetti Technology Forum on Friday and Saturday

The European House Ambrosetti is organizing the first edition of the Technology Forum on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 May in Castelbrando (TV) – The theme will be that of innovation and business growth as the primary objective for the future of the country – Contributions from various organizations are expected of excellence, university and scientific, also from Silicon Valley.

The European House - Ambrosetti, Friday 11 and Saturday 12 May 2012, organizes the first edition of the Technology Forum, on the topic: "The ecosystem for innovation: which paths for the growth of companies in the country".

The event, realized with the support of Treviso Technology, IFIS Bank, Finint Corporate Advisors e Permasteelisa GROUP and with the patronage of Chamber of Commerce of Treviso, is inserted at the end of a work path born within Ambrosetti Club, community platforms of top managers of companies and groups operating in Italy, which has the mission of concretely contributing to the civil and economic progress of the country.

The Forum aims to be an important moment of dialogue, international networking and exchange of knowledge, and will be repeated over the years with the ambition of becoming the “Cernobbio of innovation and technology”. In the spirit of the Ambrosetti Club, the Forum will be an opportunity to bring to the attention of policy maker Italians a concrete series of recommendations aimed at creating an ecosystem conducive to innovation, growth and development of the Italian system.

Dieci, in particular, the concrete proposals that will come presented to representatives of the Government and institutions, elaborated in a series of meetings that have taken place since last July, thanks to the contributions of a hundred national and international entrepreneurs, experts and opinion leaders.

The choice of CastelBrando as headquarters of the Technology Forum, in the heart of the Northeast which for years has been among the driving forces of the Italian economy and which today appears to be looking for new levers of development and growth, attests to the will to base reflection on a strong adherence to the real economy, and to offer small and micro enterprises opportunities to get closer to local and global technology transfer networks.

The two days of CastelBrando, in addition to a selected group of entrepreneurs and members of the Top Management of the most innovative Italian companies and to representatives of Universities and Science and Technology Parks, in particular, it will collect the testimonies of influential personalities from all over the world.

There will be, among others, realities of excellence such as the Fraunhofer institutes, Oxford University, Stanford University, as well as important testimonials from Silicon Valley and Israel.

Unique in Italy, the Technology Forum will make use of the prestigious participation of U.S. Air Force, global engine of technological innovation: Mark Maybury, Chief Scientist US Air Force, and other senior USAF and US State Department experts will discuss the scientific innovation, technology transfer, international partnerships.

Among the other protagonists, the following have already confirmed their participation in the Forum: Richard Saul Wurman, Founder of TED, USA; Burton Lee, Lecturer, Stanford School of Engineering and Managing Director, Innovarium Ventures, Silicon Valley; Louis Nicolais, President, National Research Council (CNR); Charles Carrara, Rector of Ca' Foscari University (Venice); Roberto Cingolani, Scientific Director, Italian Institute of Technology; Dayne Myers, CEO Gehry Technologies.

The participation of the minister is also expected Corrado Passera – Minister of Economic Development, Infrastructure and Transport and of the Minister Conrad Clini - Environment Minister.
