Chrysler sales grow in the USA (+45%)

The American group, controlled by Fiat, recorded the best growth on an annual basis in 2011: registrations increased by 45% in November.

Detroit home continues to boom. The Chrysler Group, part of the Fiat group, reported a 45% growth in US sales in November. Registrations increased to 107.172 in the eleventh month compared to 74.152 in the same period last year. “With sales up 45%, November was another strong month for Chrysler,” said Reid Bigland, president and chief executive officer of Dodge Brand. In fact, it's the best year-over-year increase in 2011 and the best November since 2007.

They contributed to the good result retail sales which saw a rise of 51% in the penultimate month of the year thus marking the sixth consecutive increase. As for the individual brands of the group, Chrysler saw its best November since 2008 with registrations up 92%. The sales of Jeep, however, grew by 50% – approaching two consecutive years of growth. Good results for too Dodge which recorded a 43% increase in registrations.
