Next March 5 will be held the auction at Christie's New York "Works on Paper, Van Gogh to Freud" with works on paper that belonged to an important family collection.

Origin: Alfred Strölin, Paris and Lausanne. Private collection, Europe, from which he acquired from the above around 1910-1920, and thence by line; auction Christie's, London, 21 June 2006, lot 401. Private collection, United Kingdom, from which it was acquired in the above sale, and therefore by descent. This work is sold with a photo certificate from Madame Chagnaud-Forain and will be included in the forthcoming catalog raisonné of Jean-Louis Forain prepared by Madame Florence Valdès-Forain.
