Christie's and Dolce&Gabbana: ancient art and high fashion in London

“Art Adorned” celebrates important antique paintings and decorative arts, curated alongside couture garments and jewelry from Dolce & Gabbana's Haute Couture and High Jewelery collections, retracing the enduring influence on fashion of centuries-old canvases and sartorial flourishes inspired by history . This exhibition will be open to the public on 22nd November until 3rd December 2019 at Christie's London.

Art has had a lasting influence on Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda and Alta Gioielleria collections, their homage to impeccable luxury and Italian craftsmanship. Art Adorned will present a seductive and opulent immersion in Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Floral influences, with dresses and jewelery displayed alongside a selection of works celebrating master painters, sculptors and craftsmen from the XNUMXth to XNUMXth centuries.
