A welcome to autumn by celebrating the grape harvest on Lake Garda: on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October, the Consortium for the protection of Chiaretto and Bardolino and the Bardolino Doc Wine Route invite everyone to the Grape and Wine Festival in the Cellar, opening the cantine4 of the area to make their wines known, the red wine and the pink wine of the Veneto shore of Lake Garda, both sons of Corvina and Rondinella, the typical grapes of the area.
There are more than twenty companies on the shore of Lake Garda and in the hinterland of Monte Baldo, but also in Valpolicella and in eastern Verona, which will open their doors on the first weekend of the month: in this way it will be possible to get to know the wines and flavors of the Garda area through visits to cellars, guided tastings of Chiaretto di Bardolino and Bardolino accompanied by platters of cold cuts and cheeses or other gastronomic specialities, walks in the vineyards, mini-concerts. There are also numerous initiatives proposed, in parallel, in the restaurants belonging to the DeGustibus association in Bardolino and in the hotels associated with Federalberghi Garda Veneto.
The Consortium's website (consorziobardolino.it) contains all the useful information for booking the various tour and tasting proposals made available by the various wineries. The visits, organized by the individual companies, will take place in full compliance with the regulations regarding social distancing. The event replaces the traditional autumn appointments dedicated to wine on the Veronese bank of Garda, postponed due to the restrictions due to the anti-Covid measures. The one underway in early October is the first harvest of the Bardolinese DOC after the approval of the new disciplinary, which took place last April.

Partners of the Grape and Wine Festival, in addition to Federalberghi del Garda Veneto and the Degustibus association, are also the Chamber of Commerce of Verona and Banco BPM.
