Christian Miccoli has left his position as CEO of CheBanca! to assume the presidency. The new CEO of the retail bank launched five years ago by Mediobanca is the current CEO of Compass, Gianluca Sichel. The manager will hold both positions. The MF Dow Jones agency writes it.
Coming from Ing Direct, Miccoli was at the top of CheBanca! since its creation in 2008. he leaves the operational leadership after having achieved a collection of around 12,4 billion euros and a base of over 500.000 customers.
The change would have taken place following the profound change of context that has occurred in recent years on the market, which would have prompted the parent company to implement a further evolution that will be based on the expansion of the offer, on a lowering of the cost of funding and on a rationalization of the cost base.
At the same time, the merchant led by Alberto Nagel has also decided to exploit intra-group synergies. Hence the decision to entrust CheBanca! to Sichel (45 years old) from Piacenza, with the aim of strengthening the effectiveness of strategic development action. Compass is the financial company controlled by Mediobanca specializing in consumer credit, an area in which it has been operating since 1960.
