CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, quarter-final draw: Juve draw Bayern, Real-Barça clash avoided

Road to Wembley: for the second time in three years the Champions League final will be played (May 25) in the English stadium. In 2011 Barcelona won, beating Manchester United 3-1. Only 50% of that final can be repeated: the Catalans are still in the running after the extraordinary remuntada against Milan, while Ferguson's men are out at the hands of Real Madrid.

But this time there could also be an Italian in the final: it's Juventus, who however will first have to overcome the Bayern obstacle in the quarter-finals (first leg 2-3 April, second leg 9-10 April), with the second leg at Juventus Stadium. Here are the other pairings drawn from the UEFA urn: Malaga-Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid-Galatasaray and Psg-Barcelona.

Having therefore avoided the possible Euroderby (in particular the Real-Barça clash) and also, for Juventus, the pairing with the formidable Spaniards, perhaps the turn reserved for the black and whites remains the toughest and most balanced one: on paper, in fact, they should have no problems neither Borussia, nor Real Madrid nor, with all due respect to the former Ibrahimovic, the revived Barcelona of Villanova and Roura.

Barça will therefore be able to attempt an encore trip to Wembley, just 24 months after the triumphant one in May 2011, but first they will have to pass through another crime scene: in fact, in Paris, where they will return to challenge Ancelotti's men, the Blaugrana won the 2006 Champions League.
